Since it premiered in 2014, Return to Amish has been one of the most popular shows on TLC. The docuseries is a spinoff from Breaking Amish, and it follows those who have chosen to leave behind their Amish or Mennonite communities.
While longtime cast members Sabrina Burkholder and Jeremiah Raber adopted their "English" lifestyles years ago, each season features a few newbies who are in the throes of deciding what to do.

Because of this blend, there's quite a substantial age difference among the various castmates.

Jeremiah Raber (43)
When Jeremiah first appeared on Breaking Amish back in 2012, most of his co-stars were in their early twenties which incited him to take on a leadership role within the group. He is one of the oldest castmates.

And this season, he is set to reveal a deep secret. While it's already known that Jeremiah was adopted, very little is known about his birth parents. But apparently, that has changed since we've seen him last. "Last year, I found out that my real father was probably murdered because of me," Jeremiah says during the promo for Season 7.

Carmela Raber (41)
Jeremiah married Carmela (née Mendez) back in 2016 in front of the cameras, and things have not been easy for the pair ever since. In April of 2017, Jeremiah was arrested for domestic violence, and Carmela reportedly told the police that her husband "strikes her on a regular basis."
She admitted to stealing $15,000 from Jeremiah as well.

Despite their marital hardships, she Jeremiah are appearing as a united front on Season 7 of the show. In fact, they are actually trying to get pregnant this season. Carmela becomes a little jealous of Sabrina, who is expecting her sixth baby during the latest season.

Sabrina Burkholder (36)
Sabrina is currently a mom-of-six to son Zekiah and daughters Skylar and Kalani, whom she shares with ex Jethro Nolt, as well as older daughters Oakley and Arianna with ex-boyfriend Harry Kreiser III. Season 7 chronicles her most recent pregnancy.

Roseanna Miller (20)
At the time of filming Season 6, Roseanna Miller was 18 years old. Now, two years later, she is believed to be 20. The self-described tomboy, Rosanna has worked with horses, but she also secretly hid her makeup stash from her family.

Her legal adulthood may have played a role in her decision to leave her Amish community, as did her desire to live less of a "strict and simple" life. She is currently dating Johnny Detweiler.
Rosanna also has a brother named Ray, who also makes an appearance in Season 7.

Johnny Detweiler (20)
Johnny Detweiler is Roseanna's boyfriend. They welcome their first baby together in March 2022.
During Season 7, Roseanna and Johnny start to form different opinions about Amish society. Roseanna actually begins to be attracted to English life. "I just hope that she’s willing to stay Amish for me," Johnny admitted during a confessional during the Season 7 trailer.

Kenneth Detweiler (20)
We meet Kenneth Detweiler in Season 7. He was raised Old Order Amish and believed to be Johnny's brother. During a promo for Season 7, he shares that he wants to be the first Amish college basketball player.

Fanny Schmucker (20)
Not much is known about Fanny Schmucker, who is new to the cast, other than the fact she was raised Old Order Amish. In the trailer, she is heard saying: "Now that they caught me with my cellphone, they're going to condemn me and shun me to hell."

Daniel Miller (22)
Daniel Miller was also raised Old Order Amish and joins the cast this season. He explains that he grew up as the Bishop's son and said "it was alright." However, he always felt like he wasn't meant to be Amish.
