As a solo artist, he released his first album, Zero Order Phase, on September 30, 2008, via Century Media Records and it included songs such as Shouting Fire at a Funeral, Miles of Machines, Azure Haze, Cashmere Shiv, Departure, and Race Against Disaster.
Jeff Loomis released his 2nd solo studio album, Plains of Oblivion, on April 6, 2012, through Century Media Records and the album was described as “an excellent album for fans of heavy metal/thrash” and “an intense tour de force, one that further cements Jeff Loomis as one of the greatest shredders of all time.”
He has formed an instrumental technical death metal supergroup named Conquering Dystopia alongside solo guitarist Keith Merrow and the group released its debut self-titled album on March 10, 2014.
