He collided at high speed with the back of a blue 2022 Nissan Kicks that had just entered the freeway after getting a flat tire changed on the shoulder.
Motorcyclist Pronounced Dead at Scene
The motorcyclist, who has been identified on social media as John Leidolf, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident around 2:22pm. The driver of the Nissan, 63-year-old Martina Medina of El Paso, was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The collision occurred on I-10 West near Schuster Avenue, resulting in all westbound lanes being shut down for approximately 5 hours. Police had to close the interstate so accident investigators could process the scene.
