Johnny Depp is set to star in the upcoming Tupac and Notorious BIG film Labyrinth.
Depp will play the role of Russell Poole, the real life detective who investigated the unsolved murders of the two iconic rappers.
The movie will be based on Randall Sullivan’s book Labyrinth: A Detective Investigates the Murders of Tupac Shakur and Notorious BIG, the Implication of Death Row Records’ Suge Knight, and the Origins of the Los Angeles Police Scandal, with the screenplay written by Christian Contreras.
Labyrinth will be directed by Brad Furman, who previously directed films such as The Take and The Lincoln Lawyer as well as Justin Bieber’s ‘What Do You Mean?’ music video.
Both Tupac Shakur and Notorious BIG died as a result of drive by shootings in the late 90s.
