Marcus Rashford and Luke Shaw will be available for Manchester United’s trip to Anfield on Sunday — but Harry Maguire will be absent.
Anthony Martial will also miss the game after he and Rashford were unavailable for the midweek home defeat against Bayern Munich due to illness.
“Harry, he will not be available for the coming games but we don’t think it’s long-term,” manager Erik ten Hag confirmed on Friday. “Luke Shaw trained this morning so we think he’s available for Sunday.

“Marcus Rashford (is available). Martial, not.”
Maguire pulled up before half-time in United’s midweek Champions League defeat — a result that saw them exit Europe — with what appeared to be a groin injury, with Jonny Evans taking his place alongside Raphael Varane.
Shaw failed to reappear for the second half of the 1-0 defeat after a hamstring issue and made way for Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with Diogo Dalot switching flanks.
Ten Hag is already without Bruno Fernandes, who picked up his fifth booking of the season in the defeat to Bournemouth and must serve a one-match suspension.
Victor Lindelof trained in the lead-up to the European tie but was not involved, while Lisandro Martinez, Christian Eriksen, Casemiro and Mason Mount have been sidelined.
