Natalie Louise Maines is the lead vocalist of country girl group The Chicks. In 1995, after leaving Berklee College of Music, Maines was recruited by Dixie Chicks to replace their lead singer, Laura Lynch. With Maines as the lead vocalist, the group won 10 Country Music Association awards and 13 Grammy awards for their works between 1998 and 2007. In 2006, while Maines was still taking on the role of lead vocalist, Dixie Chicks released Take the Long Way. The album won five Grammy Awards. The Chicks Gaslighter album was released on July 17, 2020. Maines released his solo album, Mother, on May 7, 2013
